Testimonials

"Our piano teacher Michael was absolutely the best. He is knowledgable, patient and took the time to understand and customize lessons to the student’s interest and level. This keeps my daughter super moticvated and positively challenged throughout. He makes the effort to talk about things that interested her and made a personal connection with her. She loves learning with Michael. Would recommend him 100%"

The benefits of music and why we love to teach

"Music can name the unnameable and communicate the unknowable."

-Leonard Bernstein

Our approach is to treat every lesson as though it were a performance; and so the culmination of development from lessons by our students constitutes that of a symphony. As teachers we are conductors, and learn as much as our students do about music. There is a certain joy that comes from witnessing their growth: whether a student who couldn't move their hands in an articulate way gains fine motor skills, or the confidence they gain through the discovery of their abilities.

We love teaching because we get to watch our students grow through discovery, exploration, and fun. We believe that music has the magical ability to benefit so many aspects of development including creative thinking, foundations for discipline, and so much more. Let us know how we can help you start your musical journey today.

The Mozart Effect

"Music listening enhances or changes certain neural circuits, including the density of dendritic connections in the primary auditory cortex. The Harvard neuroscientist Gottfried Schlaug has shown that the front portion of the Corpus Callosum--the mass of fibers connecting the two cerebral hemispheres--is significantly larger in musicians than non musicians, and particularly for musicians who began their training early. This reinforces the notion that musical operations become bilateral with increased training, as musicians coordinate and recruit neural structures in both the left and right hemispheres."
